A 46-year-old man was shot dead allegedly over an old enmity in Chitrakoot area, police said here today.
Haider Ali was shot dead by three person while he was returning home from Karvi town in Bahilpurwa area here yesterday night, a police spokesman said.
The accused, who shot Ali, were identified as Babbu, Sunder and Nathu Yadav, he added.
There have been reports of brawl among them in the past. An FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Ali's brother, the spokesman added.
The body has been sent for post mortem and efforts are on to arrest the accused. The cause of the enmity is not known yet, he added.
