Maoist held with a weapon

A Maoist was arrested

today with a weapon from a locality at Khaira in Bihar's Jamui district, sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a hideout in Garhi Bazar locality and nabbed the ultra, identified as Kedar Yadav, the sources said.

A country-made pistol was recovered from Yadav's possession, they said.

A native of Ghuthiya village, the Maoist was wanted in several cases of naxal violence in the district, the sources added.
