Actor Amy Fischer said the decision to marry chef Chris Fischer was not an "impulsive" one as the couple had known each other for a while before taking the plunge.
During an appearance on "The View", the 36-year-old actor was asked by the hosts whether she had rushed into walking down the aisle, People magazine reported.
"You know that I'm not like a fool. I'm not impulsive like that. We have known each other for about a year now and we've been living together already for six months.
"So you know it's not a long courtship but it's not like we had a great weekend in Vegas and threw in the towel," Schumer said.
The "I Feel Pretty" actor, who tied the knot with Fischer in February, had sparked dating rumours after they were spotted dining together in New York City in early November 2017.
Schumer was earlier in a relationship with Ben Hanisch. They broke up in May last year after dating for two years.
