Masoor, arhar ease on adequate supply

Prices of masoor and arhar fell upto Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on adequate supplies against fall in demand at prevailing higher levels.

However, rajma chitra found scattered buying and ended shade higher.

Traders said adequate stocks position against decline in demand at prevailing levels mainly brought down masoor and arhar prices.

In the national capital, masoor small and bold declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,700-6,000 and Rs 5,700-6,050 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,800-6,900 and Rs 6,900-7,000 per quintal respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also met with resistance at existing levels and fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,800-5,100 and Rs 6,200-6,500 per quintal, respectively.
 

On the other hand, rajmah chitra edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,225-7,825 per quintal.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 5,300-6,100, Urad Chilka (local) 6,800-7,000, best 7,000-7,600, Dhoya 7,400-7,800, Moong 5,900-6,900, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,800-7,300, Moong Dhoya local 6,800-7,100 and best quality 7,600-7,700.

Masoor small 5,700-6,000, bold 5,700-6,050, Dal Masoor local 6,800-6,900, best quality 6,900-7,000, Malka local 6,500-6,800, best 6,700-6,800, Moth 5,000-5,300, Arhar 4,800- 5,100, Dal Arhar Dara 6,200-6,500.

Gram 2,825-3,725, Gram Dal (local) 3,500-3,700, best quality 3,600-3,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 4,225-7,825, Kabli Gram small 3,500- 6,300, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800- 5,200, Peas white 3,050-3,100 and green 3,000-3,100.
