Mathematician John Nash killed in US car crash: police

Nobel prize-winning US mathematician John Nash, famously portrayed in the movie "A Beautiful Mind," was killed with his wife Alicia in New Jersey when a taxi they were riding in crashed, police said today.

Nash was 86.

"The taxi passengers were ejected," Sergeant Gregory Williams told AFP, adding that they were both killed in the accident yesterday.
