Medium sugar prices end mixed

Medium sugar prices ended mixed at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Meanwhile, small sugar dropped further on stockist selling amidst subdued demand from bulk consumers.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,192/3,361 per quintal.

Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,072/3,181 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,082/3,181.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,072/3,181 (Rs 3,082/3,181.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,361 (Rs 3,182/3,366).
