Mentha oil eased by 0.22% to Rs 723.30 per kg in futures market today after speculators offloaded their positions, triggered by weak demand from consuming industries in the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in January month declined by Rs 1.60, or 0.22% to Rs 723.30 per kg in business turnover of 515 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in February contracts shed Rs 1.30, or 0.20% to Rs 733.90 per kg in 153 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot markets mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
