Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil softened by 0.17 per cent to Rs 922.50 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced their exposure owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the spot market against adequate stocks.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month October eased by Rs 1.60, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 922.50 per kg in business turnover of 214 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in September contracts eased by Rs 1.10, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 910 per kg in 69 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to subdued demand from consuming industries at prevailing levels in the physical market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
