Mentha oil up 0.9% on rising demand

Oil for delivery in March edged up by 0.83%

Mentha oil prices rose 0.88% to Rs 802.40 per kg in futures trade today largely in line with a firming trend in spot markets on good demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April gained Rs 7.20, or 0.88%, to Rs 802.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 78 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March edged up by Rs 6.70, or 0.83%, to Rs 792.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 554 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot market amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
