New Line Cinema has acquired the spec script of "Met Gala Heist", a caper set at the star-studded New York City fundraising event.
Written by Gregg Rossen & Brian Sawyer, the story follows two estranged sisters who assemble an all-female team to stage a heist at the Oscars of fashion, the Met Gala, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The Met Gala, the annual fundraising benefit event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City, features the biggest names in fashion and Hollywood walking the red carpet in stunning gowns.

The Met Gala is also the subject of a forthcoming documentary by Andrew Rossi which is to chronicle the creation of the most recent benefit and corresponding exhibition, "China: Through the Looking Glass".
