MGNREGA official dismissed from service over financial

Programme officer of MGNREGA in a block of Bihar's Munger district was today dismissed from service for alleged financial irregularity and dereliction of duty.

Munger District Magistrate Udai Kumar Singh ordered dismissal of Asarganj block programme officer of MGNREGA Dilip Kumar.

The official was found indulging in corrupt practises and not being sincere towards duty, the DM told PTI.

Reports said that the dismissed official has been charged with indulging in financial irregularities of Rs 40 lakh of ambitious rural employment scheme MGNREGA.

The adminstration would not tolerate corruption and slack in duty for effective implementation of the programme, the DM said justifying dismissal of the official from service.
