Airport recorded a net profit of Rs 546.86 lakh during the financial year 2015-16.

The total revenue realised at the airport during the year was Rs 8,562.02 lakh while it was Rs 6,748.53 lakh during the previous fiscal, said MIA Director J T Radhakrishna.

The net profit of Rs 546.86 lakh was after the deduction of depreciation and bad and doubtful debts, he said in a release.

The increased revenue was mainly due to increase in the number for passengers from Rs 13.07 lakh in 2014-15 to 16.75 lakh during 2015-16, he said.
