Actors Michael Pitt, Sharlto Copley and Anna Brewster have boarded the cast of Netflix's "The Last Days of American Crime".
To be directed by "Taken 2" helmer Olivier Megaton, the film will feature actor Edgar Ramirez in the lead, reported Variety.
The film is an adaptation of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini's graphic novel of the same name. Karl Gajdusek is adapting the script for the feature.
The story is set in a world where the government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.
It will follow Graham Bricke (Ramirez), who teams up with Kevin Cash (Pitt) and Shelby Dupree (Brewster), to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off, the film's synopsis read.
The project will be produced by Jesse Berger, Jason Michael Berman and Barry Levine. Gajdusek, Kevin Turen, Remender, Matlock Stone, and Matt O'Toole will serve as executive producers.
