Minister to call meeting over issues of electronic media staff

A tri-party meeting to discuss wages, social security and other issues concerning the employees of electronic media will be held soon, Minister of State for Labour (independent charge) Bandaru Dattatreya said here today.

"I will be arranging a tri-party meeting concerning electronic media in Delhi soon. We will be arranging this meeting to discuss electronic media, their wages, social security, working conditions," he told reporters here.

Dattatreya was here for regional conference of state labour ministers of southern region.

He also urged the states to implement recommendations of the Majithia wage board for working journalists and other newspaper employees.
