Minor fire at Kasba housing apartment

A small fire broke out on Wednesday night following an explosion inside a room of a security guard at a housing apartment in south Kolkatas Kasba area, police said.

There was no report of any injury, they said.

The fire was reported at around 9.15 pm following the explosion that blew away the windows and doors of the security guards room in Bosepukurs Talbagan area, a police officer said.

The security guard was not present at the time of the explosion, he said.

"The cause of the explosion and fire is not known," the police officer said.
