Minor girl rescued, abductor arrested

A minor girl was rescued and one person arrested for allegedly kidnapping her in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Mohammad Hussain of Hanzal area was arrested yesterday for abducting the girl on April 28, they said.

A manhunt was launched following a complaint filed by the victim's parents at Marwah police station, police said, adding, the accused was nabbed in a raid conducted after a tip-off.

Hussain tried to flee from the spot but was later arrested. Investigation is on in the case, police said.
