A minor girl, who went missing in 2010 and was recovered by police today, has claimed that she had eloped with her lover.
Delhi Police Crime Branch said that they were probing the case since November 2010 after the girl's father had lodged her missing report at a police station here.
The police had later registered a kidnapping case against the suspect.
The girl stated before the court that she was not abducted and had married a farmer after running away from her house and the couple had a boy child, police said.
According to the girl, she ran away from the house as her father did not allow her to participate in a Kabaddi match.
"The couple had shifted to Delhi after staying for some time at Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh," police added.
