Moderate rains, accompanied by strong winds, lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh while the state capital Shimla was hit by a storm, causing a marginal fall in mercury.
Shimla experienced storm and intermittent rains while Bhuntar and Dharamsala received 8 mm and 4 mm rains.
The high altitude tribal areas had another spell of moderate snowfall and Rohtang Pass recorded 15 cm of snow, hampering snow clearing operations on Manali-Leh National highway.
Keylong was the coldest in the region with minimum temperature at 3.2 degrees while Kalpa and Manali recorded a low of 7.4 degrees and 8.2 degrees, followed by Shimla 12.3 degrees, Palampur 15 degrees, Bhuntar 15.3 degrees, Dharamsala 15.6 degrees, Sundernagar 18.8 degrees, Una 19.8 degrees and Nahan 22.5 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperatures dropped marginally and Una was the hottest in the region with a high of 38.8 degrees.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and snow at isolated places in mid and higher hills tomorrow and dry weather in the region from April 24 onwards for four days.
