Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Amarinder Singh will move an adjournment motion in the Parliament tomorrow to discuss the "collapse of law and order situation" in Punjab and demand President's rule in the state.

Singh will also seek appointment with President Pranab Mukherjee to demand imposition of President's rule in Punjab

The decision of the former Punjab Chief Minister to move adjournment motion in Lok Sabha tomorrow comes in the wake of a teenage girl dying in Moga after being thrown off a moving bus by her alleged molesters.

Amarinder, who met the parents of the girl in Moga today, said that she was pushed off from a moving Orbit bus owned by the ruling Badal family, which reflected complete breakdown of the law and order situation in Punjab.

"There is an atmosphere of lawlessness, fear and insecurity prevailing every where in the state. The government has abdicated all it authority," he said in a statement.

Amarinder also said that he will be seeking time from the President to lead a Congress delegation to him to demand dismissal of the Parkash Singh Badal-led government and imposition of the President's rule in Punjab at the earliest.
