Month long annual 'Thula' festival concludes

The month long annual "Thula" festival at the famous Mayoornathar temple in Mayiladuthurai in the district concluded today with the "Mudavan Muzhukku" (holy dip by a disabled) festival.

Thousands of devotees from various parts of the state took a holy dip in the 'Thula Ghat' of river Cauvery at Mayiladuthurai.

Earlier, the five deities of Mayooranathar temple were taken in a procession to the 'Thula Ghat' this morning and 'Theerthavari' (sprinkling of water) was held.
