The Madhya Pradesh power sector created a record by supplying 10,204 MW electricity to consumers on December 1.
Demand for power shot up to 10,204 MW on December 1 and we were able to meet it, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited Managing Director Sanjay Shukla said today.
He said the previous record demand of 10,112 MW was met on November 28.
An official attributed the rise in demand to crop sowing, which has picked up pace in the state.
