Mumbai: EC flying squad seizes Rs 2.87 lakh from motorcyclist

The flying squad of the Election Commission seized Rs. 2.87 lakh cash from a motorcyclist during a police check at Haji Ali in south Mumbai, police said Sunday.

Rakesh Shah, riding a motorcycle, was stopped by the police and the EC's flying squad on Saturday night and a search revealed Rs 2.87 lakh, the official said.

The cash has been seized and its antecedents are being probed, he added.
