Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd in HI fold

The induction will enable MHA Ltd to take part in all the National Championships to be conducted by Hockey India in future.

With this move, the governing body for field hockey in the country now has six associate members, besides 30 affiliated members and two other members through state Olympic associations.

HI secretary general Narinder Batra said, "Mumbai has always been an important centre and has produced so many national and international level players. Now they have become an associate member so we will work together for the development of the game at all levels."

"I am hopeful that MHA Ltd will put in its best efforts to promote the game at grass-root level by organising more and more tournaments in the city," he added.

 

MHA Ltd also welcomed the development and Mangha Singh Bakshi, president, assured that they will work for the development of the game in the city and the country.
