Muted demand drags refined soya oil futures down by 0.13%

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya prices eased by 0.13 per cent to Rs 659 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators reduced exposure amid tepid demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in October shed 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 659 per 10 kg with an open interest of 19,090 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in November traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.06 per cent to Rs 663.60 per 10 kg in 49,880 lots.

Analysts attributed the slide in refined soya oil futures to offloading of positions by traders due to subdued demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position.
