Nagaland observes birth anniversary of Sardar Patel

Nagaland today joined the nation in observing the 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by organising 'Unity Run' in different parts of the state capital.

The state police, Assam Rifles and BSF organised the 'Unity Run' in which apart from these forces, members of Bharat Scouts and Guides also took apart.

The nation today paid tributes to Patel on his birth anniversary, which is observed as the 'RashtriyaEkta Diwas' (National Unity Day).

The state also remembered former prime minister Indira Gandhi on her 33rd death anniversary.
