Nashik police get mobile forensic investigation van

City police today got a mobile forensic investigation van fitted with modern facilities for swift issuance of forensic report, from state government.

"The van, comprising a refrigerator, an air conditioner to get speedy forensic lab report, will help in speeding up investigation into crime," said city Police Commissioner S Jagannathan.

The government has provided 45 such vans to 10 police commissionerates and 35 vans to the offices of district superintendents of police.

The mobile unit of the van includes a photographer, a scientific assistant and a driver.
