National police athletics championship in Delhi from Dec 10

The national capital will host the 67th edition of Police Championship from next week, with an estimated 1,100 personnel of various security forces participating.

The event is being hosted by the (CISF), a paramilitary force that guards major civil airports and other vital installations of the country.

He said various disciplines of like long jump, high jump, shot put, triple jump, hammer throw, pole vault, marathon and others will be part of the annual event.

"About 60 ex-athletes as technical officials, 50 technical officials of association and two technical delegates of athletics federation of have been associated for the smooth conduct of the games," a CISF said.

The event will be declared open by M Venkaiah Naidu on December 10.
