NBC is developing a TV series based on Barbet Schroeder's 1992 film "Single White Female".
The modern version of the psychological thriller will take place in San Fransisco instead of New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new iteration follows the story of con-artist Hedra, played by Jennifer Jason Leigh in the cult classic movie, who uses her professional connections to target Allie, originally portrayed by Bridget Fonda.
Eric Garcia will serve as writer and executive producer of the reboot, which hails from Sony Pictures Television's TriStar banner.
