NBCC gets Rs 6,000 cr irrigation project in Maharashtra

State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd today said that Maharashtra government has allotted the balance work of irrigation project in Vidarbha valuing Rs 6,000 crore.

In a filing to the BSE, NBCC informed that "the government of Maharashtra has allotted the balance works of Construction of Irrigation Scheme in Vidarbha under the Gosikhurd National Project to NBCC (India) Ltd, for a total value of Rs 6,000 crore."

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the first phase of the work valued at Rs 1,058 crore is planned to be signed between Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation, Nagpur and NBCC on March 16 at Mumbai, it added.
