The coalition government will incorporate best of the Constitution's 73rd Amendment Act in the J&K Panchayti Raj Act, 1989 before holding of the BDC polls, party's Jammu province president Rattan Lal Gupta said here.
He said the government wants to give full-fledged administrative, executive and financial powers to panchayati raj institutions (PRIs), so that they manage good governance and ensure equitable development of the state.
Gupta assured the panchayat representatives that coalition partners are committed to implement the following agenda immediately after the ensuing MLC elections.
He further said the government will provide a comprehensive life insurance policy for the elected representatives as a means of social security, apart from adequate supporting staff to Halqa panchayats.
It will also establish full-fledged training institutes at the provincial level for capacity building of the PRIs in order to provide result oriented trainings to the elected representatives, Gupta said.
