D.Manikandan, an IAS officer of 2010 batch, has been appointed as the District Collector-cum-Special Secretary (Revenue) of Puducherry, a government notification today said.
Manikandan, an officer of AGMU cadre (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa Mizoram and Other Union Territories) had reported for duty on May 8 as per the orders of the Home Ministry issued on April 8 this year, the notification containing the order of the Lt Governor allocating subjects to IAS officers in the Union Territory published today said.
Puducherry district has under its fold Puducherry, Mahe and Yanam regions while Karaikal is a separate district for administrative purposes.
