A prisoner today inaugurated two wards for jail inmates at the government-run Maharaja Yeshwantrao (MY) Hospital here.

The male and female wards have 12 and 6 beds, respectively, an official statement said.

Indore police range Inspector General (IG) Vipin Maheshwari said prisoners who come for treatment will get all medical care and undergo different tests amid security under one room at the MY hospital.

The two wards have been a face lift along with the other renovation works going in various departments of the hospital.

The two special wards have been opened after nine months post the incident where a prisoner Ramdayal, who was admitted to the hospital, was dead by a man in guise of doctor.
