A tourist from New Zealand on way to Assam was killed when his motorbike collided head on with a car in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, police said on Thursday.
Two Indian tourists and as many New Zealanders were going to Kaziranga National Park in Assam on two motorbikes when the accident occurred on Wednesday night at Birpara area of the district.
Police said 50-year-old Michael Handson was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The body has been sent for postmortem examination.
The four tourists were coming from Delhi via Gangtok in Sikkim.
