Newly-married couple commits suicide

A newly-married couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in Kushaiguda here today, police said.

M Srinivas (26), a crane operator and his wife Mounica (20), were found hanging at their residence this afternoon, they said.

According to preliminary information, Srinivas, who was an alcoholic, used to quarrel with his wife and mother after getting drunk, Kushaiguda Police Station Inspector N Venkata Ramana said.

"Last night too, he quarrelled with his wife and broke the TV set. The couple apparently took to the extreme step as they had family disputes and were facing financial problems," the Inspector said.
 

A case has been booked and further probe is on.
