NFL Q3 net profit falls 28 pc to Rs 52.50 cr

State-owned National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) today reported a 28.31 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 52.50 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.

Its net profit had stood at Rs 73.24 crore in the same period last fiscal, the Uttar Pradesh-based company said in a regulatory filing.

Total income increased to Rs 2,889.17 crore during October-December quarter of the 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 2,526.65 crore in the year-ago period.

Expenses rose to Rs 2,801.71 crore from Rs 2,411.70 crore earlier.

Shares of the company rose by 4.67 per cent to settle at Rs 72.90 apiece on the BSE today.
