Nickel futures rise marginally on positive demand

Nickel prices on Thursday strengthened 80 paise to Rs 1,172.80 per kg in futures trade as investors raised their positions driven by a firm demand from alloy-makers.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for November delivery gained 80 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 1,172.80 per kg in a business turnover of 4,958 lots.
Increase in demand in spot market from alloy-makers supported price rise in nickel futures, analysts said.
