Nickel prices declined further in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on selling by stockists amidst lower demand from alloy industries.
In overseas markets, Shanghai copper slipped to its lowest level in more than three weeks in early trade, tracking last week's losses in London after the Federal Reserve sent a strong signal that it would raise interest rates this year, boosting the dollar.
Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 980 from last weekend's level of Rs 985.
However, brass utensils scrap and lead inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 316 and Rs 133, respectively.
