Prices of nickel and zinc climbed at the non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained stockist buying amidst heavy demand from alloy industries.
Meanwhile, select copper and brass prices declined further due to poor demand from consumer industries.
Globally, the industrial metals were trading steady at the LME in early trade, underpinned by shrinking supply and improving prospects for global growth.

Nickel shot up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,260 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,250.
Zinc climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 187 from Rs 184.
Aluminium utensils scrap edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 131.
However, copper scrap heavy fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 486 as against Rs 489 yesterday.
Copper armature and Brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 474 and Rs 353 from Rs 476 and Rs 355.
Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and aluminium ingots all softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 496, Rs 452, Rs 524 and Rs 159, respectively.
