Nigeria military admits abducted schoolgirls still missing

The Nigerian military has admitted that most of the 129 girls abducted by Boko Haram Islamists from their school in the restive northeastern state of Borno were still missing, the defence spokesman said in a statement today.
The military had earlier claimed that only eight of the kidnapped girls were missing, contrary to the position of the state government and the school principal.
