Advocate Dilshad Pathan, who has filed the complaint before Additional Sessions Judge H J Joshi on behalf of 24 accused, today said the jail officials allowed the accused to meet their family members but not the defence lawyers.

He claimed his questions to the authorities in this regard brought forth no reply.

The court is likely to take up the matter on June 20.

In February last year, a 213-ft-long tunnel originating in Sabarmati jail here was found. According to police, the accused in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case, who are allegedly members of banned organisation SIMI, dug up the tunnel but it was discovered before they could execute the plan to escape.
