No repolling was held today in the polling booth number 15/195 in Dhupguri assembly constituency of Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha seat, Jalpaiguri District Magistrate and District Election Officer Pritha Sarkar said.
Yesterday it was announced that repolling in the polling booth number 15/195 in Dhupguri assembly constituency of Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha seat would be held on April 19, but late in the evening the Election Commission send a fax ordering not to hold repoll in the booth till further orders, Sarkar said.
Polling for the Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha seat was held on April 17. On the that the EVM in the polling booth number 15/195 developed a snag so polling could not be held.
Asked when the repolling in the polling booth number 15/195 would be held, Sarkar we have no information about it as the Election Commission has not said when to hold the repoll in the booth.
