Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has assured people of Maletha in Tehri district that no stone-crushing activity would be allowed in the area.
"No stone-crushing activity will be allowed in Maletha. Necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to the District Magistrate Tehri," Rawat was quoted as saying by his media incharge Surendra Kumar today.
The chief minister has also assured people of Maletha agitating over the issue that their interests will not be allowed to suffer at any cost, Kumar said.
