Security forces caught one NSCN (K) militant from Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh, a defence sokesman said today.
The militant was caught at Laju village by Assam Rifles yesterday, Defence spokesman Colonel Chiranjeet Konwer said here in a statement.
A pistol along with ammunition and extortion notes were recovered from his possession.
The security forces have been carrying out aggressive operations in the district and the apprehension has struck a blow to the extortion activities being carried out by the underground cadres of the group in the area, the statement said.
