The NTPC management today warned it can review its projects in Jharkhand if there was any repeat of the February 10 assault incident when one of its officials was allegedly beaten up in Hazaribagh.

NTPC Chairman-cum-Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury told reporters that the public sector could not only review its projects in Jharkhand, but also wind them up if there was any repeat of Hazaribagh-like situation against its officials.

He was replying to a query on the assault of NTPC's deputy general manager Rakesh Ranjan by the then Hazaribagh deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar on February 10 this year.

Roy Choudhury, who was here in connection with the signing of an MoU with the state government, said the government was taking necessary action.

Recently, the government initiated a departmental inquiry against Kumar.
