Odisha chief secy meets MSME entrepreneurs from four countries

Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi today met entrepreneurs from Iran, Bangladesh, South Korea and Germany, who have "expressed interest" for boosting trade ties with the state.

The delegates, who attended the ongoing MSME international fair here, "expressed their interest for enhancing trade relations with Odisha in various sectors," said Additional Chief Secretary L N Gupta.

Padhi said Odisha has great strength and potential for development of downstream units in aluminium, steel, handloom, apparel, marine and agricultural food processing sectors.

He assured the visiting delegates of all necessary support for setting up manufacturing and processing units in Odisha.

The main areas in which the entrepreneur delegates expressed interest include marine fish, poultry, handloom, food processing, super technology and software, Gupta said.
 

The MSME trade fair which began here on March 5 will continue till March 10.
