Odisha industry minister Debiprasad Mishra today said that Left wing extremism in the state would not have any impact on investment as the state government has taken several steps to counter the menace.
Mishra said that Odisha was now focusing on five key sectors - ancillary, agro and sea food processing, electronics manufacturing, chemicals, plastics and petrochemicals and textiles to see investments to the tune of Rs 2.5 lakh crore,
The Odisha government has announced the "Make In Odisha" conclave at Bhubaneshwar from November 30-December 02, 2016.

"We have aprogressive industrial policy and robust industrial infrastructure ecosystem. Good governance clubbed with single window facilitation and best-in-class incentives offered by the Government will not only help companies in setting up their operations but also expand in in our state" Mishra said.
Asked how the government plans to address the security concerns over the menace of Left wing extremism, Mishra said," The problem of Maoism is there in Maharashtra, Telengana, Andhra Pradesh. It is a temporary phenomenon. The federal government and the state government are working together to address these problems. With an upliftment of the socioeconomic condition of the society, people will no longer join these forces but would go for sustainable development,".
