Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today congratulated a team of students from Lawrence School in Sanawar for scaling Mount Everest.
"Congratulations to the kids from Lawrence School #Sanawar for reaching the summit of Everest this morning. Great effort guys 'Never Give In'," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.Com.
Omar, who is an alumnus of the said school, noted that it was likely the first such institution to have launched a successful expedition to the world's tallest peak.
"If the information coming out is correct, #Sanawar is the first school to mount an #Everest expedition successfully," he said.
