A person has been arrested with allegedly 10 kg of narcotic substance in Jahanpura village in Shamli district, police said today.
The accused identified as Waseem, brother of alleged gangster Mukeem, was yesterday arrested and 10 kg of toda (a narcotic substance) and a stolen car was recovered from his possession, Superintendent of Police Vijai Bhushan said.
A case has been registered agianst the accused under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the IPC in this connection, Bhushan said.
Meanwhile, a criminal Aftab carrying reward of Rs 12,000 was yesterday arrested in Shamli district, police said.
Aftab who was on absconding since 2012 in cases of loot and murder, they said.
