An alleged criminal was killed and two of his accomplices were injured in an encounter with police near Dalanwala village in the district, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, police chased a car moving towards Jind last night following which an encounter took place between police and occupants of the vehicle, they said.
The deceased had been identified as Pawan, while the other two were admitted to a hospital in Rohtak, police said.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
