One person was killed and eight others were injured today after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a gorge on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district, police said.
The incident took place around 3:20 pm when the tempo-traveller, on its way to Jammu, skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at Nachilana area of Ramban district, a police official said.
He said one person died on the spot and eight others were injured. The injured were shifted to a hospital.
